# FAQ

  <Accordion title="Do I need my own HighLevel or Meta account?">
    You need a Meta ad account to run ads; connecting it takes two minutes during onboarding. For the CRM, connect your existing HighLevel account. If you do not have one, book a setup call and we will get you provisioned as part of onboarding.

  <Accordion title="Will leads know they are talking to an AI?">
    Ares communicates as your team's assistant, in your business's voice. Messages are short, human, and focused on booking the estimate. If a lead directly asks, Ares answers as your assistant, which is what it is; it never claims to be a specific human. Leads who insist on a person get flagged to you.   <Accordion title="Can Ares spend my money without asking?">
    No. Every campaign launch and every budget increase is previewed in full and requires your explicit confirmation. Pausing waste is the only spend-related action Ares takes freely, because stopping spend protects you. See [Budgets and spend safety](/ads/budgets).

  <Accordion title="What if Ares says something wrong to a lead?">
    Flag it in chat. The conversation gets reviewed against what actually happened, the lead gets corrected if needed, and the mistake becomes a standing correction to how Ares communicates. You can also tighten approvals so more messaging comes to you first. See [Approvals](/using/approvals).

  <Accordion title="What happens to my data if I cancel?">
    Everything lives in your CRM and your ad account, which you own, so it all stays exactly where it is. Ares works until the end of your paid period, then revokes its own access. Nothing is exported or deleted. See [Billing](/account/billing).

  <Accordion title="What trades does Ares work for?">
    Home services where the sale happens at an estimate: concrete coatings, hardscaping and pavers, electrical, roofing, fencing, painting, and similar. If you book estimates with homeowners, Ares fits. If you sell e-commerce or run a restaurant, it is not built for you.

  <Accordion title="How is this different from hiring a marketing agency?">
    An agency runs your ads and hands you leads; what happens to the leads afterward is your problem, and reporting arrives monthly. Ares runs the ads, answers every lead within seconds, follows up for weeks, books the estimate, keeps your CRM clean, and answers questions about any of it in real time, for a flat monthly price. The difference shows up in the only number that matters: booked estimates.

  <Accordion title="How is this different from CRM automations I could build myself?">
    Automations are static: they fire the same message at the same trigger forever, and break silently when something changes. Ares reads the actual conversation and responds in context, adjusts when you say "we are slammed," notices when a campaign's leads stop booking, and tells you when something needs attention. You could build a fraction of it in workflows; you could not build the judgment.

  <Accordion title="Can I still use my CRM and ad account myself?">
    Yes, and you should. Ares works alongside you: your manual replies are read and respected, your pipeline changes are treated as ground truth, and campaigns you run yourself simply are not Ares's to manage. See [CRM connection](/connections/crm).

  <Accordion title="How fast does Ares respond to a new lead?">

  <Accordion title="Does Ares work outside the US?">
    The product is built for US home-service businesses first, and texting compliance is US-centric (carrier registration, opt-out handling). If you operate elsewhere, book a call and ask; the honest answer depends on your country's messaging rules.
